Before you buy, check out some of the other large stores like PETCO and Petsmart. Sometimes those places will special order an aquarium, or the manager may have a one of a kind. The ma and pa shops will also order aquariums. I mention this because you get more gallons per square foot of floor space with tall aquariums. For example, a 37 tall takes up the same floor space as a regular 29. The complete aquarium kits usually don't include a stand, gravel, etc., and you don't have a choice of filters. To save a little money, you can buy a new aquarium with just the light and hood, build your own stand, and install a cheap under gravel filter. The best choice though, for those of us with limited financial resources, is a yard sale aquarium. Lots of people sell off their aquariums dirt cheap because they can't figure out how to get the fish to live.
I hope you get your money back. My brother still owes me some wrenches he borrowed in 1957.
