I had a red tail boa in a 16'X20'X72' glass vivarium. I had to give up the snake(ex in-laws) and was wondering if the 'tank' wasn't just converted to a vivarium. The glass is pretty think. I filled with water and after two days had no leaks. Can I use this as a reef tank....also does 16X20X72=350 gal and does 350 gal=2900lbs jeez

Capacity of your tank: 16' x 20' x 72' = 23040 23040/231 = 99.7 US gallons

Weight: 99.7gal x 8.5 (approx for sw) = 847.45 pounds

Well your tank can hold at least 135 gals.and yeah you should be able to use it for a reef with proper cleaning.
