So..

just maybe last week or so we got like a foot of snow. me and my dad went to the golf course because my little brother wanted to go sled riding.

He went sled riding all by himself which really made me feel bad but i wasn't up for getting cold.()

As we drove away I notice a fish tank in the snow in someones trash. My mom and dad just got divorced so he's getting used to starting with nothing. My dad loves keeping fish and would probably be a great member on this forum.

But anyways....

He stops and we put the tank in the trunk of his car. It had snow in it, so we figured we would find out if it was okay when it melted. He called me that night and told me it seemed to have no cracks in it and looks fine. It even had a working light with a cover.

What a find.

haha sorry about the long story

Congratulations. There's nothing better than a free aquarium with a light. If it has leaks, it can be sealed, but that's not an easy job. Your dad or you can also make a good, strong wooden tank stand using common lumber and hand tools. Inexpensive fish and plants can be as much fun as the high priced ones. Tell your dad to join the forum. Please!
