When i was in elementary, my friend alissa was in girl scouts, and the girl scouts all went to a fair and won some fair gold fish "which as everyone knows, are really just feeder fish". back then we knew nothing about chlorine and stuff so we just filled up a gold fish bowl and put them in there and dumped a ton of food in every day, her mom took the gold fish out and put them into a bowl once every other week, and cleaned the gravel and everything, then filled it back up and put these water clearing drops in it.

well one day alissa, her big brother kenneth, and i were watching and helping her mom clean the goldfish bowl. when she was done she put the fish back in. but she forgot to put the drops in so she added them after she put the fish back in, and one drop hit the fish directly. it immediatly stopped swimming and floated to the top, not breathing. we were in shock! so kenneth grabs the fish by the tail and start pulling it back and forth in the water!!!! we were like what the heck are you doing?!?!?! and then all of a sudden the fish popped back to life!!!! He had saved the fish's life by making water flow through it gills. how cool is that?!?!!?

how long do you guys think those fish lived?

DRACONIAN DOLLOPS OF DUCKWEED. Now I am wondering what kind of stuff they put in dechlorinators. When I do partial water changes, the conditioner gets pretty well spread out, but what if it didn't??????? A bit of label reading may be in order, not to mention fish resuscitation.

Wow, that's a pretty good story. Poor fish, I am glad it could be saved.

Are you kidding me? It lived that long? In a bowl? Wow, your mom must have been diligent about changing the water.
