A Dolphin With A Prosthetic Tail?

The beginning of winter story is when she was found entangled in a crab trap near Cape Canaveral. The trap mangled her tail so badly that it fell off.

Winter wasn’t supposed to live, but she did. She wasn’t supposed to swim, but she did. Now visitors can see this inspirational story at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter, a female Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, stranded on December 10, 2005 as a three month old. Experts thought she would not survive, and knew she would never swim; but Winter has defied all expectations.

Would winter be not only the first dolphin that survived losing her tail and still swim and be healthy but also the first dolphin ever to have a Prosthetic tail.
