for the fish.

That is amazing! It is also very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I have never seen anything that resembles that here. The closest I have come is the fish market in Seattle Washington, but the fish there are already dead and are sold for food. I have to agree with jesskozzy, that must be quite stressful for the fish. I would be interested to know how much you pay for your discus in the equivalency of US dollars. Your fish are very nice and appear to be of good quality. Here, if we are not careful, we would end up paying a fish store a lot of money for a sick runty fish. Fortunately, most of us know better and not a lot of stores sell discus for that reason.

i agree with u miss mehgam or miss jesskozzy that in this way the fish may be stressfull.but the sellers are also very carefull for the fishes.they have a good quality oxygeting system for that,so for every costly fish they provide oxygen gas in free of cost,if anyone oxygen the fish then it can easily live 10 hrs here.even in the fish market some people are there to supply oxygen bcoz many people come from a dist place..now 2 yrs ago india govt allowed the discus that would came from singapore or hong kong, but now a days india govt. banned it.so the main supplires from mumbai(u must hear the city)...in my album u see my red map discus is about 8 inch, here in thet fish market it costs $80($1=40 rs in india)and the blue diamond i bought just prev month,it cost $50 pair.u can see the size in my album...

Thank you for sharing those pictures. They're really fascinating, and I hope you post more. How many sellers are usually in the market?

Nice pictures achintya. We have similar markets here in Thailand. I hope to get some pictures of my local market soon although they don't keep so many in bags. I'm intersted in the price differences between Thailand and India. I just paid $1.40 each for a pair of small clown loaches. What would you pay?

LOL the guy in the last picture looks like he's up to something. But this is so cool, I wish we had bizzars and street markets in america. I went to one in egypt and it's like you can get anything you want for practicly nothing. plus it's so much more open then stores.

i was recently in singapore and they were selling fishes out of bags. pretty cool. i was like yeah.....i worry about the mortality rate of the fihses though, due to lack of temperature control....maybe the normal weather is 78-80 all the time, so no worries...

Hi...I am new to this aquarium hobby.. I live in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The specification of my tank is Length: 3 feet
Width : 1.5 feet
Height :2 feet
Could you pls. suggest as to how to make the aquarium water crystal clear? I don't overfeed my fish. I have an automatic thermoter installed as well. I have also installed a wet power filter as well
Thanks
Bikash

Welcome to the forum!
What are your water readings? Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? Which fish do you have in there? How often do you change their water?
