I recently picked up a small acropora colony which has no 'rock' exposed at the bottom. the coral has grown all around the skeleton. Is there any special method for attaching this kind of specimen to my live rock so that my snails and such won't knock it over?

thanks

You're going to have to kill some of the tissue to attach that coral, but it shouldn't be a problem. Pick a spot, and use some epoxy putty to secure it.
