ANYONE HAVE A FLUVAL 405 ?

I've been researching the Fluval 4 series and noticed something. Here in Canada (and in the US), the Fluval 404 sells almost everywhere.

When I look at the Hagen website, I noticed that there is a new Fluval 405 cannister machine which sells in the UK only.

So to all my Brit friends, can anyone tell me if they own a Fluval 405 and does it fair better than the 404 ?

Further to that question, can anyone tell me WHEN Hagen plans to introduce the new 405 to North America ?

Actually I'm not talking about the 5FX - too powerful for the aquarium I have. What I mean is the Fluval 05 series (Fluval 205, 305, 405 instead of 204,304,404).

I'd love to get my hands on this baby ... too bad it only sells across the pond. If anyone sees it in the store, let me know what your LFS rep says about it in regards to improvements etc ....

On that note, can you believe that I live in Montreal which is the SAME CITY that Hagen World Headquarters and Manufacturer resides AND the Fluval 05 series does not even sell here ?? ahh yes, it must be the almighty power of the British pound ... business-wise, I guess you can't really blame them.

Anyone's feedback would be greatly appreciated on the Fluval 405.

Those look basically the same as the 04's except the ability to unplug the power cord from the canister as well as from the wall. That was a good change. But on the other hand, you shouldn't have any problems with the latest generation of the 404.

You could also contact a fish shop in GB to see if they would be willing to ship one overseas to you.

I wonder if the model difference is for powerline voltage. I wasn't able to find anything on the web about that.
