Frank,
Since it looks like the canister filter I wanted to get won't even fit under my stand, I'm going to do whatever it takes to move my tank far enough away from the wall to fit a biowheel filter. It looks like the emperor 400 is about the best one going. Do you agree? In case you forgot, the tank I have is a 55 show.

The bio wheel 330 is a better deal. It's basically the same as the 400.

The Magnum 350 Pro is also a great filter, if your only going to go with one filter on the tank.......Frank
