hello, I was looking at some of the other questions about member's betta fish not eating, but none of them were quite like this case. So my fish- Opie, has always eatin every time I fed him- about 2-3 times a day, only about 3 pellets each time. but then my dog knocked the food over and ate it all...errr. so i went to buy some NEW food and they didnt have the same brand that i bought before. so i bought a new brand called "wardley." and he hasnt eaten ANY of that. i thought maybe he just wasnt used to it but its been almost a week now and...nothing! soo i thought maybe his water was too cloudy and he couldnt smell it (although i do change it weekly) so i changed it AGAIN! and he still wont eat it. does he just not like this new chow? and where can i find these frozen blood worms other people were talkin about? Thank you SO much. -Morgan

I get mine from my local fish store. You can even get them on ebay.

Perhaps he dont like the new food. Mine dont like brine shrip but will eat anything else i give them. If it was that he hadnt eaten it before im sure hed have tried it by now. Failing that ive always used aquarian tropical flakes and never had a problem with it or getting hold of it. Just make sure you feed him frozen as well. My siamese fighter love daphnia. If he dont get it once a day he gets the right hump with me.

No problem. I hope it works. Failing that look online for his old food. You should be able to get it somewhere. I know ebay sells nearly all foods if you look hard enough for them.

it takes a few days to habituate wih a new food,so u should have to wait for a couple of days and then u find that they eat it...

Make sure he doesn't show any signs of illness. Most local aquarium shops sell various frozen foods. If you want an extensive list of food choices and don't mind paying shipping, try one of the on line aquarium shops. One of my favorites is Drsfostersmith.com. To avoid polluting the aquarium, feed the Betta no more than he can eat in a couple of minutes.
