Hi all,

I got a black ghost knife last week thats seems very happy in the tank but i have a slight problem. I cant find exactly what to feed him. He eats all the frozen food i have for him and got some fry ready in the next week or two but what else do these fish like?
Except neons

You can feed it earthworms and meaty frozen foods such as shrimp with shells on it from the local supermarket.

I feed mine frozen bloodworms mostly. I use a kitten feeder to give them to him and I have trained him to come right up to the surface and eat from the feeder. I also bought some dried kelp flakes for my loaches, and tried a few pieces on him, and he likes them! You should give them veggies and meat. I tried putting some zuchinni in there but he won't eat it . What size of tank do you have him in?

Well I currently have him in 20 gallon by himself but when he gets bigger, I'm probably going to have to give him away.

Well, he should not be in a 20G tank. I started mine out in one, and he hardly ever came out. I moved him into the 70G and he is SOOO much happier!!! He even comes out in the daytime now. Did you know that when you have something that gets big in a small tank, their body won't keep growing, but their organs will? Just thought I would share that with you...

Well mine is active even in the daytime because I have a lot of cover from my ever growing hornwort. Also, he is only about 2 inches right now so in my opinion I think it's fine.

Yes, he is fine while being that small, for now. But when he gets bigger he will need a bigger tank.
