I'm looking to set up three 10 gallon tanks, stacked vertically. I'm looking for schmatics for a clean and simple central filtration system. Can anyone refer me a resource or forward me something?

Welcome to the fourm. I'm sorry that I can't help with your question. Can you maybe try you LFS to see how they do it?

Welcome to our forum.
Aquarium shops use central filtration systems, because it makes aquarium maintenance easier and eliminates the need for multiple heaters. However, it also means that all of the fish are swimming in the same water. That's fine if all of the fish need the same water parameters and all of the aquariums are healthy. However, if a disease or parasite starts in one aquarium, it will spread to all of them. In addition, different species need different temperatures and water types. The simplest way to run three aquariums is an under gravel filter in each one, all powered by one air pump. Next would be three of the common filters that hang on the inside of the tank and have their own pumps.
You may also want to consider buying larger aquariums so you can keep larger species of fish. Only the smaller varieties are appropriate for ten gallon tanks, and the small aquariums require more careful maintenance. Larger aquariums are a bit more forgiving if you happen to over feed.
I hope that gives you something to think about and apologise for not answering your question directly; some other forum members will probably do better.

Welcome to the forum!
I have tossed around the idea of central filtration, but have pretty much settled that it won't work for my program.
There are a lot of good ideas online. I don't know if there's anything that will be on the size scale that you're inquiring about.
Most central filtration systems that I have read about take care of 1000's of gallons of water, instead of 10's...
If it were me, I'd listen to John's advice. I really like the undergravel systems. Unless you're wanting barebottom tanks, then you could still use sponge filters or something of the like... With a central Air pump.
Maybe if you enlightened us to what you wanted out of the tanks, we could be of more help.
Is it for a breeding setup?
