I currently have 2 adult male Tiger barbs and 3 adult peppered cory catfish in a 25 gallon, and I was wondering what fish can go with these fish that I have. I've seen other aquarists with other fish that are kept with Tiger barbs, and I want to make my fish tank as active it can be. I used to have 4 Tiger barbs and 1 peppered cory catfish and they've all got along great.
I do know that Tiger Barbs can be aggressive to other fish and I've heard that slow moving fish aren't the best idea to go with Tiger barbs...
I would very appreciate it if you'd guys help me out (:
Its best to have tiger barbs in a big group when housing with other fish, to keep the aggression inside the group.
A nice group of 10-12 tiger barbs would look lovely on their own, I have a 20 gallon mixed tiger barb tank with striped, green and albino. Is a very active and colourful tank.
If you really want to add a different type you could add some tetras, neon tetras or zebra danios may be fast enough to stay out of the tiger barbs way. Check on aqadvisor, try to stay under 80%
Really good answer! Thanks!
