Do i need a airstone in my 10 gallon tank? i have a internal power filter stuck to the back right of the tank and it does slightly move the top of the water in a clock wise direction? just been reading forums questions and answers and its a bit confusing?
I don't use an air stone in my 10 gal tank so I think your good.
Adding an airstone is always beneficial as it provided more oxygen which is very essential for any fish in the tank
So you may add one buddy
thanks guppy lover
how easy are guppys to keep?
what size tank do u have ?
I have a 10 gal for my 6 (use to have 7 but I sold one) guppy fry and they are easy to take care of you can go on my blog post that is down there that is called guppies part 2.
Rohan is it essential as i only have a small tank?
If the filter provides enough surface agitation then you don't need to.As i said it is optional and doesn't have any side effects. It only helps to provide more oxygen.
What fishes you have in your tank and how many?
I have two powder blue gourami
and i have just planted my tank with more plants, water moss as it gives the dominent male something to do...and provides shelter also cabomba.
You don't have to youse one. But the do provide more oxygen so it is better to have one.
agreed with Prouncer11 it isnt absolutely needed but it makes your aquarium look better and adds oxygen the the tank.
If you have a good filter you don't need one. When I started my tank I had air stones. I took them off after about a month do to the noise they made. I've been 4 months without air stones.
