It has been almost a month since I got White Clouds for my sister and they are doing fine. I went back to the pet store two weeks after getting the first 2 to get 2 more, but ended up mistakingly getting glowlight danios. Both of them died, one did not make the trip home and the other died a few days later. So I am not too sure what happened there.

I am using the drip method to introduce the fish to the tank and I place a drop of Stress Coat in with the fish as they are adjusting to the tank's water. I will probably be getting her 2 more White Clouds this friday or the next.

White Clouds are very good aquarium fish, although they prefer water that is slightly cooler than normal aquarium water. Try to keep at least six together, because they like to school. When you buy them, check carefully for clamped or torn fins, white spots, gasping at the top, etc. If any of the fish in the display tank appear sick, there is a good chance the rest of them will get sick too. White Clouds are easy to spawn in a single species tank with plenty of bushy plants. A few of the fry will survive in the tank with the adults. The gender of mature White Clouds becomes apparent when the females are full of eggs.

things have been going very well so far. My sister is now running her tank at 20C with 4 white clouds in the tank. We still have not purchased a hood for her tank, but have placed some java moss in the tank, which is growing very nicely. The moss is able to get light through my sister's bed room window. Since getting the aquaclear filter the tanks water is amazingly clear, there is no algae on the sides of the tank anymore. There was very little to begin with and very hard to see without a flash light, and the new tank heater is a little off on the dial for what it says the temp should be but keeps the tank at a constant temperature according to the analog thermometer.

I will be adding 2 more white clouds in a week or two to bring the total to six. Once I reach 6 white clouds is that the maximum I can have in the tank or could a few more be added?

You could probably have more than six White Clouds, but it's best not to push the limits. With the java moss and only six fish, you should have a good safety margin, and you may see some White Cloud fry in a month or two. Algae and live plants use the same nutrients, so the live plants help control the algae. Usually, direct sunlight will grow algae, but a little bit of it is no big deal. In my experience, White Clouds are not bad about jumping out of their aquarium, but they are certainly capable of it. You may want to add a glass cover.
