If you live near Phoenix, stop by and pick up a free aquarium stand or two. They are both commercially manufactured stands. One fits a 46 gallon bowfront; it's solid but needs a little refinishing. The other stand is welded angle iron and will hold a 30 gallon aquarium. A friend gave them to me along with the aquariums, and I ended up making my own stand. They were free to me, so they're free to you.

i would take the 30 but i live in ohio....
