Sure usually the freshwater it can hold its small ecosystem for relatively long period of time if everything is exactly as it should be but any slight change in the population can bring a little crisis. Bringing new fish can end up in their death and sometimes the death of some of the local fish as has happened to Richard
Thinking about it trying to introduce new corals to my saltwater aquarium wasn’t very easy either. So maybe both types of tanks have their strengths and weakness and each have a delicate balance that we respect and keep if we want the life in our aquariums to flourish.
