One of the more reliable suppliers of aquarium products is now selling a flake food supplemented with garlic. While it's not a cure all, garlic is supposed to help control parasites and diseases and contribute to the general health of aquarium fish. All of my fish are well, but I'm going to try feeding the garlic supplemented food about once a week and will report any results.

I bought the garlic supplemented food from Angels+. The proprietor specialises in raising and selling freshwater angelfish and related supplies. I've heard of aquarists mixing fresh garlic with flake food and giving it to their sick fish. The prepared flake food should contain a smaller amount of garlic and have less danger of over dosing. In fact, I haven't medicated fish in years; the garlic supplement used once a week should be more of a health maintenance measure than any sort of corrective step.
