How long do you leave the female guppie in the breeder trap? The total is at seventeen for baby guppies...

Fish never seem to be happy in those breeding traps. Guppies are not bad about eating their fry if you provide plenty of floating plants.

That's not always true, it depends on the individual female. I have a girl who loves eating her babies, and i have another one who just acts like they aren't even there and would never eat them. It should only take at the most 2 hours for her to give birth to all of the babies. she may still look pregnant because female guppies can have babies in different stages inside of her. Seventeen babies is a good number, congrats.
