Has anyone ever seen the celestial pearl danio for sale? I saw them in a book and wanted them. I had to order them from dr. Foster and smith online because none of the 7 pet stores I visited had them or could even special order them.
iv never seen them (other than on the net)
That's so odd... There colorful, peaceful, and small. I wonder why no one stocks them.
I remember seeing them a few years back (they were only discovered mid 2000's) and they are now rare because the were over caught, almost to extinction in the wild.
Check to see that the ones you are buying are captive bred.
I got them of off of doctors foster and smith. The source said they were pool bred in sri Lanka.
I have quite a few of tank-bred Celestial Pearl Danio for sale if you are still looking for them.
They are fully matured and sexable - about 1/2" to 5/8" size.
Please send me an e-mail if you are still interested in getting some & how many ?
I'm located in Toronto,Canada. Where are you located ?

Is it difficult or expensive to ship live fish from Canada to the US?
I saw where Jack's Pets carries them for $8.99 each. I don't know how extensive Jack's stores are but if there is one near you you might want to check with them.
never seen one for sale but bobs tropical pet store on line has for great price
Several of the online shops have the danios you want, and a good place to start looking is Aquabid.com. I once bought some cory cats from Bob's online shop (Bobs plants or something.com) and was happy with the quality of the fish as well as the service.
I am looking for them my self. My local fish store told me I was the first to ask for them. I am thinking about buying them on line. The cost for fish and shipping for 6 fish would be $80. The fish themselves are $8 each. I never bred egg layers. I think this is the first one I might. If I buy them.
