I have 2 angelfish in a 55 gallon well established tank. My question is, why do they both always hide behind the driftwood? Should i add more angelfish? The tank is at 80 degrees, bare bottom, pH 7.2 0ppm amm, 0ppm nitrite, very slight reading of nitrates.

If they are juveniles, it would probably be OK to add a few more angelfish. However, as angelfish reach maturity they are often territorial and aggressive. Juveniles raised together tend to tolerate eachother until the hormones take over.
