I have one smallish Blood Red Parrot. He (I am assuming) is about 1 1/2 inches around. The lady at the LFS told me to feed him frozen blood worms and frozen brine shrimp twice a week. I feed flakes the remaining days. Does this sound right? Any other suggestions?

It's OK to feed the fish twice a day so long as you feed no more than she eats in a couple minutes. One routine that works for me is a staple dry food in the morning and frozen (well thawed) adult brine shrimp in the evening. Frozen brine shrimp is also available newly hatched and is a favorite of fry.

Thanks so much!! I tried the frozen peas tonight. I think she likes them but my other cichlid seems to be faster than her and gobble them up!!
