how to keep my prawn tank clean

hi
im rearing prawns and i realise my tank gets dirty in just a few days.
How do i keep it clean without cleaning it every week?
ps: it's only a small tank =)

If you're talking about freshwater shrimp, the usual maintenance schedule for a freshwater aquarium is to replace 20 or 30 percent of the water every week. Small aquariums need more frequent maintenance, because little problems become big problems in small volumes of water.

Marine aquariums probably have similar requirements, but don't take my word for it. If nothing else, you can use a turkey baster to pick some of the waste off the substrate.
