I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, and or fast way to get my hydrocotyle to grow. I have 3 african dwarf frogs in my tank and a featherfin squeaker, and they seam to love taking it out of the gravel looking for food and the frogs just by looking for a good place to sit after getting some air. Ive already lost my triandra to them and all i have left for ground cover is this. Im hopping i can keep some and get it well established in the tank. the good and bad thing is that it grows somewhat slow so its easy to maintain once i get it the way i want it, but for now it doesnt help keep it burried. any thoughs would be of great help. heres a picture of what i hope to get.

It's an interesting looking plant, but I've never raised pennywort. Where did you buy it?

i got it from a local hobbyist i found on craigslist. i like it alot for its resemblence to clovers. it grows as a vine along the surface extending its sprouts upwards. its actualy a weed that grows wild in humid areas of the us, so if you look closely you may even find some in your back yard. i however live in a desert so all i find in my back yard is caliche, yay!,...... check your local golf courts, its very popular in those areas. there are however a few verieties out there, most common beeing leucocephala and verticillata, but tripartita is much smaller and grows closer to the ground making it a great carpet once it starts to grows out.
