I know this isnt really a site for promoting goods sellers, but.......

I just ordered my eheim and several other things off big Al's not more than an hour ago, and about ten minutes ago I got a call from them telling me that they were backordered on the prefilter, and driftwood I wanted. I was impressed, response about my order status in less than an hour, they are on top of things! I guess I'll try a DYI prefilter in the mean time. I had to share the quickness with which they responded with the rest of the group.

I almost agree with Eric ;~). It's a great place to relate your positive experiences, without reservation.

Relating your negative experiences requires much more due diligence, keeping your statements as factual as possible when using the names of product or service providers. This is as much for your protection, as it is for the protection of the supplier. You might later find that your complaint was unwarranted, but the Google archives are forever.

Inquiring minds always want to know, so if it's good, say so, but if it's bad, say so carefully.

For anyone who doesn't know, there are lawsuits in progress against the originators of comments made in a news forum against a supplier. See http://petsforum.com/psw/

This is no place for free commercials, but if you've had a good experience with a particular supplier of aquarium stuff, I see no harm in sharing it with us. On the other hand, if you have a complaint, it's better to take it up the supplier. Polite negotiation can get results where other methods fail.
