I have a balloon molly and a marble molly in my tank along with others. my ammonia is .25ppm right now, no nitrites and like .5 ppm nitrates (just tested water 10 minutes ago.)

my balloon molly looks like it's swimming drunk! my other molly swims with a dropped tail fine. All other fish are doing great....not sure what's going on and don't wnat them to die.

OK 20% water change completed and it seems as if my balloon molly and marble molly are a little better. The marble molly still seems to be swimming with a droppy tail but is eating and diving after the food. I guess we will see what the future holds. I sure hope they will be ok. I have no new readings on ammonia, nitrite, nitrates at this time. I will wait about an hour or so since the PWC and test again. I know my ph is high at about a 7.6 however, that has been stable like that now for the last 3 weeks.....

my balloon Molly seems to be hanging out at the bottom of the tank and the marble molly is haing out by where the water comes out of my filter back in the tank. So we will see. I am sure I am doing something in correctly but not sure what. IT s not over crowding and they don't seem to be stressed....I know my ammonia was .25ppm , no nitrite and about .5ppm nitrate........as long as i have power, I will do a water change again tomorrow but with "Sandy" coming may not be possible.

If theres a walmart where you live i was just there today looking at ammonia clear tabs......They say they reduce or detoxify ammonia......You can get them at petstores to....Maybe those would help

OMg fishkeeping is a million ttimes harder than dogs..........I guess it sucks because when theres something wrong with them its hard to find out whats wrong with them............I found not caring works well...xD.......My friend didnt clean her tank in a year (no joke).....And her mollies reproduced and are still....Even her danios layed hatching eggs in the time........Now she has hardy mollies.......Her mollie got cottonwool and it ate up its tail.....I told her to take it out and shes like NOOO.....So i come back next week....The cottonwool is gone and its tail is regrown xD..............SO when yu extremely care (like me)...Everything seems to go wrong xD

yeah you and me both.....well just looking in my tank, the marble molly is picking at the decor in the tank. Like munching on the algae grow....my bloodfin tetra's are chasing eachother around the tank....the red tetras are just chilling....my balloon moly is still not very active and hangin out at the bottom.....so its a waiting game and see what happens. I think its semi stressed, but for why, not 100% my 3 cory cats are also going nuts.....

they aren't stressed at all....they go nutz every water change too.....they love it when the bottom gets stirred up....the corys are allways nuts in my tank...they settle down then get nuts and swim up and donw the sides like they are chasing their reflections...........update on the marble molly, lookking much better but still not 100%. Balloon molly, still on the bottom of the tank.

Well today both Molly's are out and not hanging at the bottom. They seem to be a little better today. When I get home from work we will do another 20% water change and see of that helps out.

You talking about the shrimp or tetras.........Ghost shrimp are acually extremely helpul for cleaning thebottom of the tank...........And i think there nocturnol.....My aquariums in my bedroom and when all my lights are out and my heater lights turn on I can see a black dot (there insides) Floating around xD.........They do keep the bottom clean and pretty much eat anything.....I guess if you have corys though they do that to..
