So guys, i have been keeping you updated on my 10 gallon tank I got back in September. Everything was fine with it before Christmas, but when I left to go home for 4 weeks and returned, it was a mess!

So recently my tank has been clouding up, majorly. I did 2 50% water changes and the solution wasn't any better. So I went to Petco and bought Accu-Clear and AmQuel+ (for the ammonia). It was not bad, the ammonia, so I put that stuff in there with the Accu-Clear and waited a few hours and nothing. So I waited an additional 24 hours and put in a second set of the Accu-Clear. The bottle says the water will clear within hours, but mine hasn't. After a 3rd set tonight failed, I decided to do a 75% water change. I think the water is 100% better, but I may have to Accu-Clear it for a few days until its crystal.

I have to recommend doing a series of partial water changes. As in 20% everyday for a week.

This will help more than anything.

Plus your bio load is really high with all those fish. You might want to consider saving for a larger tank...

I went through a similar problem to this with one of my 10 gal tanks recently. I tried multiple water clearing drops, tablets etc, and nothing made any difference. The only thing that worked for me was time and daily 25% water changes. With every water change it got progressively better. I used to use all kinds of chemicals in my tanks but as of lately I am starting to discover that the natural approach may be best. I believe that water changes do more than anything else. My tank has been crystal clear since I started doing the changes. Now that its ok I only do it once or twice a week and it looks great. Good luck.
