Take out any other fish, turn down the filter, and don't let them eat the fry. Most angelfish need to get some experience before they're good parents. Even the best parents, however, need to be removed when they're ready to spawn again.

Unless you're going to hand raise them, you need to wait until they're free swimming. It's sort of unconventional, but I remove the parents when the fry use up their yolk sack and swim on their own. Of course, the parents may "protect" them before that. If you want to hand raise them, cut out the spawning media and put it in the grow out tank with an air bubbler on the eggs. You may also need to add peroxide to prevent fungus. Parent raising is much more interesting but risky.

If it has a tube uptake, turn it down very low and put a nylon sock (hunk of panti hose) over the uptake. Make sure there is no soap in the hose. Angelbabies are great.

Actually, it's a fascinating experience. They need baby brine shrimp. You can buy them frozen or introduce them through an in-tank hatchery.

Did you leave them in the tank? Or decide to hand raise them?
