Male guppies start to develop color very quickly. The first color you see is usually black stripes or spots on their tails. That's probably what you're seeing. A fungus or parasite, on the other hand, will be three dimensional. Try looking at the fish from the top to see if the color sticks out beyond the surface of the tail fin. Good luck, and please let us know what you find.

my baby guppies from my females that have black or grey on them always get spots on them. as long as the spots are not sticking out, it should be fine.

what really helps baby guppy's health and growth rate for me is boiled egg yolk.

boil one egg, and then take the yolk out and smush it. then take a tooth pick or a straw or something and get it wet, and then put it in the yolk. then stick the object with the yolk on it into the water by the babies, and you can give some to the adults too. they absolutely love it! and they usually double in size within a week for me. but make sure you dont put to much or it will pollute your tank.

good luck.

Well, maybe you should go to the pet store and ask
someone of get a box of fungus clear. (do not touch fungas
clear with your fingers.!)
