My Betta has eggs in the bubble nest. But they have been there a few days. How long until they hatch. He did not make a very big bubble nest this time. Does that mean anything? Thanks

Bubble nests do not need to be neat affairs. The eggs usually hatch in a couple of days, but they're very small and not too active. You may be able to see movement with the aid of a magnifying glass. If the eggs are an opaque white, they are growing a fungus and are not hatching. Sometimes, spawning fish don't get it right the first time; you may need to let them try again.

If the eggs are moving, the male needs to be with them a couple more days. When the fry are free swimming, remove the male and feed fine food like infusoria.
