my goldfish is swimming on it side what is the cause

what are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels ? dose the fish look like its gasping ?

It could be anything, try changing the water as goldfish tend to give off A LOT of ammonia, so weekly water changes are imperative to them. this is of course the most case scenario solution.

He could also have a swim bladder problem, which affects golfish more than other fish. You can try feeding boiled, de-shelled peas, because they are a laxative for fish. Good luck!
