Congratulations on the new aquarium. Angelfish are my favorites, but they're quite a bit of trouble.

Ive always wanted to get one and mirror half the tank and put a shoal of 15 to 20 glow tetras in one. Done that with my siamese fighter tank and that looks great.

I'll get some pictures up soon.
I have no idea what fishes will be in there, except i know that im moving my cory cat in there, and possibly getting a second one.
I definitely don't want angels. Everyone in my family has had them, and they never live long. (except my grandma had a pair that lived 10 years!)
ive really wanted a puffer fish, but what fish get along with them?

u can keep neon tetra a dozen, u can keep some gouramies or platys or some cichlid fish,if u keep cichlid there will be rocks rather than plants bcoz they love rocks. along wioth u can keep this fish that i show u here...if this fish avialable there,in india it is called "BLACK GHOST KNIFE", i had it before i concentrated my discus tank.

just a warning though about the fish above it gets to be like 1-2 feet long so it would not fit in this small of an aguarium even if they are the coolest and cutest fish ever

Most Cichlids are very aggressive, but one attractive, colorful, small exception is the German Blue Ram. You can probably find a picture on Google.

So no Cichlids!
I'm looking for non-aggressive fish that will do well in a community tank, while keeping in mind there is already going to be a cory cat and possibly a few guppys.
This is a harder decision then i thought it would be.

I'm thinking corys, guppies, and Harlequin Rasbora. What other fish would go good with them?
I'd like another betta, but I'm told not to put bettas with male guppies.

You cant keep a clown loach in a tank that size. They grow to over a foot long.

Clown loaches can reach a foot, but most grow rapidly until they reach six inches and then slow down from there. I am not sure and octagonal tank is the best shape for them though. They are very active fish. I like the idea you have for fish you have chosen. A large amount of smaller fish can look very striking.

Awwwh how cute, and what a colorful tank!
I already have a cory cat in there, and tomorrow i think i am getting him a buddy.
I moved all of my fish into the octagon tank, and oh my gosh they LOVE it. It is so cute to watch them swim up and down as fast as they can, and my cory, I've never seen him so active.
Does anyone know how big corys get though? because when i got mine he was probably the size of a quarter, and now he is HUGE. he is double the size of my fat female guppies. All of my fish are over-sized though.

it is possible to keep it whith the fish that are very popular do not recomend guppies because they are known to breed disease. but you still could keep guppies but sometimes they cant get along and one ands up dying that almost hapen to me when i tried tetra but i took it out you could keep it whith almost every fish you some will die for a warning. do not keep fish whith long fins like bettas because they are fin nippers like tiger barbs.
