Angelfish are rather delicate, and they need at least ten gallons per adult fish. If you can add some details about the aquarium, we may be able to help more. To start, the aquarium should be fully cycled, which means that both ammonia and nitrite measure zero. In addition, angelfish like their water at about 82 degrees. Another basic is your method of introducing them to their new environment. Frequently, the shock caused by moving them from the aquarium shop to your tank will compromise their immune systems and leave them vulnerable to all sorts of diseases and parasites. The drip acclimation technique described in one of our blogs will greatly reduce moving stress. Please keep us posted.
