Hey guys i bought some black marble angelfish 3 days ago... they seemed fine and happy until today.

Now one of them looks like its on deaths door. its swiming on its side using only one fin and most of the time just floats around the tank being swept along with the curent off the filter.

Is there anything i can do for the poor little mite? He only cost me £3.95 but i want to save him if i can. please let me know what you think guys.

thnx leeboy

Is your tank new? If so, your tank has not established any bacteria that help keeps the water clean called the nitrogen cycle. There is a blog in the Blog section about the nitrogen cycle I think. Also, you may want to check on the drip acclimation method in the Blog section too. Saved me a lot of fish. Can you give me more precise info because I will probably be able to identify the problem.

Sorry to hear about your fishy. At this point it is unlikely you can save him, but identifying the problem may save your others. As suggested you should read the cycle and drip acclimation blogs. If you do not have a test kit you should purchase one. They are a life saver for fish and can help you catch and fix a problem before it is too late. I hope everything works out for you.

also do change 40% water change daily till your water is perfectly cycled, and then do the same after every 7 days..this will help you a lot...also wath that is ammonia and nitrite level must be zero...
