Hi all,

I need to get a good air pump to run air stones in a 180litre tank. I have an external aqua pro 2 canister for siltratio so just need something for air stones after mine broke dureing the night Unfortunatly not the diaphram. Been a while since ive bought a new one so dont know whats good out their. Looking at the tetratec ones at mo but just dont know.

My personal favorite is a Tetra Whisper. You don't need a large pump for an air stone. It's a good idea to add a check valve and a bleed valve. The bleed valve can cut down on noise, and the check valve can cut down on disasters.

The link dont work, Which one is that?

I have one of the whispers that needs a new diaphram and cant seem to get hold of one. But did just get a tetratec ap200 for £3 new from the local fish shop

Sometimes, it costs less to buy a new pump than it does to fix a broken one. Maybe that's why we're known as a throw away society. In the old days, aquarium shops sold all sorts of repair parts. Of course, TV sets were also easy to repair.
