The lady at the aquarium shop where I traded in some angelfish about a year ago said the gold White Clouds were a new variety, so I put a bunch in a 30 gallon tank. They like cool water for spawning; that's what they did last winter. One or two survived the single species community tank.

This summer I set up a ten gallon tank and added a pair for spawning, and this winter they did. Apparently the eggs and fry are too small to see. Then about an hour ago I saw this shiny thing moving about the tank and sure enough it's a baby White Cloud. Even after all these years i still get excited about a little fish hatching and growing in my aquarium.

Next time, I'll pay more attention and try to remove the parents before the fry and eggs are mostly gone.
