Hey, guess what! A friend is giving me a 30 gallon tank (like I need another tank and really don't have anywhere to put it,,,but trust me I will find room). As with everyone else, I really hate the cycling process. I will have a seeded sponge filter and plastic plants from established tanks that I already have to add to the new tank. All of my tanks are bare bottom so I won't have any gravel. No fish stores close enough to get any either. I have tried Bio-Spira before and was not really impressed. Has anyone heard or tried this yet, "One And Only Nitrifying Bacteria by Dr Tim's Aquatics". It is something new from Foster and Smith. Now I know this might be overkill, and that I am trying to speed something up that probably should not be sped up, but there is a tiny chance that I might be getting some new amazing angelfish and would need to have the tank ready as soon as possible. Any tips, hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I sure do wish I was a more patient person,,,,,,,,

The doctors are usually pretty good to deal with. I would call them and ask if the cold weather will bother the live bacteria culture. It may need special packing or shipping.

Do you have any live plants? That would also help...
