I found from personal experience and different sources, that artificial plants are better than live plants both in terms of appearance and maintenance.
But would artificial plants be good for fish health also ?

Live plants are a lot more trouble than plastic ones, but they do help water quality by using some of the nutrients that would otherwise make ammonia or provide food for algae. Some of the low light plants like java fern and the crypts are easy to grow. That said, many aquarists still prefer plastic plants, because they offer more options and are simple to keep. Plastic or silk plants made for aquarium use will not harm fish, but they will sometimes serve as a home for algae. It comes down to a matter of personal taste.

Dear John,
But artificial plants may have chemical colors also. That may be dangerous. Isn't it ?
I am having One more question. Whether live or artificial, plants will help in fish breeding OR both will be equivalent ?

It's a good idea to rinse artificial plants before installing them. I still have one or two plastic plants in an aquarium and have never had a problem with dyes or toxins. The plants, though, were made specifically for aquarium use. I replaced most of them with live plants, because they do eventually grow algae and start to look bad. Some fish need to eat vegetable matter, but they don't need live plants for spawning.
