Hi,
Decided to give my tropical freshwater fish a treat in the form of live bloodworms... My tank has a coral sand base and a fair number managed to bury themselves before being eaten.... not sure as to what the result might be! Any help appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi If you have catfish they will love the hunt/seek & destroy, but might take a while depending on how many are down there! Anyway they won't cause any harm & will eventually get eaten by the fish. P

I once had a tank with what I thought was a live tubifex culture living in the gravel (if not tubifex, some other nematode, similar to bloodworms). If any of your bloodworms did survive, you would notice a few extra flies in the house, mosquitoes or more likely midge flies ;~). I don't think you have anything to worry about.
