I don't know if anyone else has tried this product. Safe is in a dry form, and not liguid and you do have to figure out how much to use per gallons of water changes. However if you have MTS this is so my cheaper to use. We have had good luck using it now for the last couple of months, and our water is very touchy with what they treat it with.
Just a way to cut down on some of the expense -- the savings is going towards the electric bill....

Hi Karen...
I don't think I have ever seen this. Where did you find it? So is this an ammonia & nitrate remover? Is it all "natural"?
Like Megham asked..just what all does it do?

Here is information on Safe (from fish.com)
Seachem Safe is the most complete and concentrated conditioner for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Safe removes chlorine, chloramines, and ammonia. Safe converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank's bio-filter. This product may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Safe detoxifies both nitrite and nitrate, allowing the bio-filter to more efficiently remove them. Safe not impact your tank's pH. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.

We have found it to be very effective so far, it is just a matter of measuring and understanding how much water you are changing and making up a pitcher with the safe and pouring in the amount you need for the number of gallons you are replacing. However the savings is real answer and worth the bit of math until you get used to it. This is one product that does not mess up the PH when you do daily water changes. The water in Florida has chlorine and amonia and it changes depending on the season and how old the water is, Since the water you get at your house was processed almost 2 months ago and then when it goes through the area they process it one more time and that is where we get the chlorine spikes where we have lost fish .. so we have to test before every water change to know what we are dealing with, and so far this product has worked...Is is made by the same company that makes Prime except this is powder and Prime is liguid...
Hope that answers some questions.
Fish.com sells it the cheapest
