I am about to give up on butterflys. The ich seems to be at bay while now at lunch I see an area of slight redness, skin soft, between his eyes, on his brow if you like. I am guessing a secondary infection from the ich, which antibiotic? It's in a sick tank. Positive or Negative Gram or something else? I want get some on the way home.

Thanks, Adam

Maracyn-Two at the DOUBLE dose each day for 7 days is a good choice but I prefer it for internal infections. Nitrofurazone at 30mg/gal just one dose on the first day only and leave in the treated water for 3 to 5 days is another good choice and something I would probably use first for an external infection.
