i have a black mystery snail,along with 4 fish. they all are doing great accept for the snail, he hasnt been moving for 3 days, i thought it was dead, but i tapped the glass a little and it moved...is it possible it is sick?

did you buy this recently. on snails if they are hiding in their shells, then you can see a lid type thing closing the shell. if it is still there, your snails good. however if that is gone then your snail may be in trouble...

I had this exact same problem and ev eryone told me that he was fine. I added a bubble wand in my tank for more oxygen, and i think that helped because the next day he was eating and acting normal, but about a week and a half later he just randomly died.

i never found out why, so your nail may be sick but a lot of people told me it is normal for black mystery snails and all mystery nails to sleep and rest for long periods of time.

Mystery snails require a high pH, and some people even add a cuttlebone that's normally used in bird cages. That helps shell growth. Of course, not much of that is good for most aquarium fish.
