I saw a new setup at my LFS last week It was skimmerless. He had a sump with a product called 'miracle mud' on the bottom. About 3-4' and calurpa growing above it. The system had pumps for circulation and a Ca reactor. According to LFS the system has been running 3-4months now and basically it is very low maintenance. Water changes bi-weekly and harvesting calurpa. Looked pretty cool. Tank had softies, SPS, and fish. All inhabitants look very healthy.
Has anyone had any experience with this type of system?

Man, my last water change was at least 8 months ago. I do clean my skimmer every week tho. ;p
