Since we're confessing to malfunctions, I want to confess to a brain malfunction. Somewhere in this forum, I had mentioned nitrites and nitrates, which are compounds of nitrogen and oxygen. Nitrite is the more reactive compound, but i think it has two oxygen atoms rather than the three that I had originally thought. If I'm wrong again, maybe somebody will correct my correction. It's a good thing I finished chemistry class forty some years ago, because it would be impossible now.
Conclusion: This forum has a much better administrator than it does a chemist.
