Hi.
I have noticed the past few days that my speckled molly swims to the top of the surface and splashes with its back tail, he/she is healty and looks a bit fat but has been like this now for months so dont think pregnant.
Any reason why it does this, the other ones dont do it.

all of mine do it manly my females will do this its a dalmation mollie. my males do it sum times to there nuthing to wory about.

That was a reference to water parameters. Examples are temperature and pH. A good test kit will also alert you to the presence of toxins like ammonia and nitrite. Water parameters are important, because poor water quality is often the primary cause of disease and parasite outbreaks.
