I waited to answer this, because I'm not familiar with power heads. Have you checked some of the on-line aquarium supply houses? They have extensive inventories and some can answer your questions on line or on the phone with an actual person. I've had very good experiences with Drsfostersmith.com and have also purchases from petsolutions.con, BidAlsonline, thatpetplace.com, and the auction house Aquabid.com.

I also didn't answer, because of my lack of knowledge on the subject.

I know that whenever I have a question about a filter, I put it in a bucket and take it to my local fish store. The owner can always tell me what I need to know...

you can try cleaning them with vinegar, obviouslyy make sure they are completely vinegar free when they go back in the aquarium. this usuall works for me.
