I recently put a 175w German 10k MH bulb on my 30g that originally had a 175w 10k Blueline MH. The color difference are worlds apart. I was liking the 'purple' spectrum of the Blueline as the German bulb is more 'yellow' by far. Although, some of my corals are acting better with the German bulb, dispite me not liking the color.
So, with all that said, what is the difference between the Sunburst 12k and the German 10k? I would definately like the 'white' as opposed to the 'yellowish' look, so recommendations are welcomed.

I just changed from 10KK Powercompacts to 12KK Metal Halide. The 12KK is quite bluish in hue. Some people do not like it, however they favor the german 10KK's so they dont matter in this case. I personally like the 12KK very much and dont need any actinic to get the 'blueish-white' which I favor. It sounds like you have similar preferences, and I believe you would like the sunburst 12KK's very much.
