Following on from achintya's pictures of an Indian fish market here are some from a market just outside of Bangkok in Thailand.
sorry the pictures are not good quality but it was really hot and once I got there I just wanted to get back home and cool down!

I think this is one of the most popular fish breeds in Thailand.

Thanks for the interesting pictures. Those look like more or less permanent open air shops, or are they? Fish farms in Thailand even send things to the States, and at least one advertises fancy Guppies on Aquabid.com.

According to my local newspaper, Phoenix gets much hotter than Thailand, and it's not always a dry heat. Every Summer, we get lots of days over 110, and the record is over 120. Anyhow, those are some great pictures.

Yes these shops are permanent. There is a much bigger market in Bangkok and I hope to get there in a few weeks. There will be millions of fish for sale there.

I'm sure Phoenix is much hotter. In the summer here it is normally between 95 and 100F but the humidity can be up around 80-95%
Last night the temperature dropped down to 71F and we were freezing cold and snuggled under a blanket!

It's interesting how we acclimate to different climates. Phoenix seems as cold in Winter as Indiana did.
