It has been a while since I have posted about my fry, but that is because not much has happened. They are growing slowly but surely and look a little more like fish. There is no real evidence of dorsal and anal fins yet. Most of the development appears to be in the shape of the head and some of the black color is becoming more obvious. In the next week or so they should start getting their fins and I will post another pic at that time.

It’s amazing how small they start out.
miss megham i want to know that do you separate those parents angels? and now what is the condition to maintain those fry? but most importantly you have awesome luck to spawn those angels.
They look quite fishy already… I was thinking it would take them longer.
Yes, they are changing quickly in small ways. Helinova, angelfish are not difficult to breed. They need clean water, a good diet, and water around 82 degrees. Weekly water changes help stimulate spawning. Some people think if you add the water back a couple of degrees cooler it works better.
I forgot to add the fry are also at 82 degrees f and get daily ten to twenty gallon water changes. They are fed three times a day and the bottom of the tank is cleaned after each feeding. This prevents buildup of bacteria and fungus. My first blog post goes into a little more detail about their care.
ic ic…now slow but stadily i underrstand about angel fish..
At what age do they start looking like angelfish?
They start to look like angelfish at about four weeks. My largest one is just starting to bust some fins, but it will be a while before it starts to really look like an angel. They are a little over two weeks now.
The growth rate also varies widely.
