As with anything else nowadays it is impossible not to be aware of the changes that the plant and especially the seas are undergoing.
It is not just global warming, it is the change in the location of cold currents that bring sharks closer to shore in place like Mexico that haven’t experienced it the past. It is the uncontrolled fishing and the consumption of seafood that puts many species in danger of extinction and makes other fish that some of them we would really like to have on our tank more expensive or rare.
The entire ecosystem of the seas is changing and this has a direct effect on out local pet shop or the international rules for importing and exporting fish.
I felt that since the world insists of interfering with our hobby we might at the very least learn things at a little deeper level.
I just found at Sea Notes a link for sea food watch a guide that tells us which are the best fish to eat and I guess we can learn from it the state of the sea fish population in general.
Sounds like an effort I can make so I’m going to try.
